For over 45 years, I have shared a deep bond with Padma Sharma ji’s family and the magnificent Gauri Sharma Tripathi. Across three generations of Kathak, I’ve been blessed to accompany her art worldwide. My heartfelt wishes and blessings are always with her.

Our 30-year synergy between ANKH and Natyasri has produced works from traditional to modern themes. Each collaboration with Gauri and her dancers brings dynamism, respect, and fresh perspectives. At its core is our friendship rooted in love for dance and generosity to share.

Gauri and I have collaborated on many large-scale, logistically complex projects. Together we create beauty, energy and fun for participants and audiences alike. Our teamwork consistently generates artistic magic.

It was an honour to work with Gauri Sharma Tripathi as co-curator for the India Dans Festival 2022, where her vision shaped programmes like New Horizons and 360 Elemental. In 2023, as choreographer of the opening performance Cloud Messenger, she again showed her artistry and ability to inspire dancers and musicians

to their fullest potential.

I worked with Guari early in my career, and the collaborations with her were marked by artistic friendship. Her contributions include the Ardhanarishwar in Polaroid Feet and the Tarana composition in Sacred Monsters which both brought distinctive nuance to the works.  Gauri’s artistry continues to challenge and inspire all those who she works with.

Collaborating with ANKH has been deeply rewarding—a journey where tradition and innovation meet seamlessly. Gauri’s vision brings Kathak into conversations both timeless and urgently relevant, and through AFE, ANKH’s thought-provoking work is reaching wider audiences. With three generations of legacy—from Padma Sharma ji to Gauri, and now Tarini with fresh energy—we are honoured to support their tours and cultural exchanges, sharing Kathak’s evolving story with the world.
