As a student of ANKH since 2018, it has been a pleasure to learn from such great gurus! From tough love to words of encouragement, everything is imparted here. My gurus haven't made Kathak a hobby, but a part of my life and for that I am truly grateful.

ANKH has reunited me with my childhood passion after a long hiatus of separation. I thank my Gurujis for taking me under their wings and enriching me with the nuances of this graceful classical dance form.

Guru ma Padma ji, Guru Gauri and Tarini shower their students with wholehearted love. Together they inspire, motivate, and teach students in an environment which is warm, inclusive, and fun. My association of more than a decade has helped me grow not just as a dancer but also as a person and has helped me nurture my passion for dance in a very fulfilling manner.

With Guru Ma, Gauri ji and Tarini, learning dance has become my way of living Sanskriti — feeling its rhythm pulse through me and breathing in its timeless stories. Each class is a circle of joy, and shared inspiration. In every graceful step, I hear the heartbeat of tradition.

My journey with ANKH began 12 years ago, and it transformed me from a shy, timid child into the confident person I am today. For this I am extremely grateful. My gurus encourage me to work hard and give my best in every practice or performance, building my confidence, resilience, and sense of accomplishment.

Kathak has shaped me in ways I never imagined, adding grace, discipline, and confidence to every aspect of my life. What once felt challenging has become one of the most beautiful parts of my journey. More than a passion, it is a core part of my identity and expression—something I carry into all areas of life. I’m excited to keep growing with dance and see where this path leads next.

In 2015, I enrolled in Kathak alongside my six-year-old daughter, Alba, sparking a life-changing journey. Over the past decade, under Guru Gauri Sharma Tripathi, blessed by Guru Ma Padma Sharma, and with Tarini’s guidance, I’ve grown steadily. Today, sharing this path with Alba—learning, enjoying, and valuing Kathak together—is priceless, blending discipline, beauty, and joy into our lives.

Being part of ANKH’s very conceptualisation is something I hold close to my heart. What makes this journey meaningful is how deeply it is rooted in parampara—the traditions and values that guide us—while also creating a space of joy, connection, and discovery. I carry the inspiration of Gauriji and Padmaji into my own teaching, reminded with every class that learning is ongoing for both students and teacher. Watching this dream grow into a community that celebrates dance and togetherness has been truly special.
